Employees

Finding good employees is always a challenge, but never more than for a new/small business person. A mistake for YOU is fatal to your business. I started with my family. In the last 3 months, I have been in and out of the hospital 8 times. My business would not have survived without the help of my sister and brother-in-law. They took care of my puppy, helped set up and take down my booth at the market, and today are helping me move into my new apartment.

I see many vendors at the market who hire even young children to learn the business by working along side them in their booths.

And of course I always use my pets to model my products and sometimes to write my blogs:

and Max the Bling Cat

So you will be hearing more about these amazing pets and how they help me in my business !!

    Sunny,

I am so glad you have your family to help you and your pets to give you joy. And the fact that both of your pets are such excellent writers is just a bonus… :-)

You might use that same idea and have an occassional item be written in your sister or brother-in-law’s “voice”. they can say things about you that you can’t say about yourself without looking like a narcissist…

  5. Family is everything, and I am including pets as family. What a feeling to have your dog meet you at the door after a bad day of work. He doesn’t care, it is unconditional love.

You are so right! I would rather have a child helping me because they have a natural curiousity that I am not finding in the 25 year olds I’ve hired. I’m done with this me generation mentality!

  9. Finding good employees is hard. When you do find one with a great work ethic you then need to find the right seat for him/her. Don’t lose them.

Seeing your pets reminds me of my daughters! They want pets (both a dog and a cat) so badly. They’re wearing me down with their persistent requests, so we’ll probably be getting at least one pet very soon.

I look forward to reading more from you.
